Volunteer Placement Program
KNGO Cambodia welcomes volunteers to support the school and students.
What We Need
We are seeking volunteers to assist our Khmer teachers with our English Literacy program regardless of whether you have teaching experience or not. Volunteers must be able to speak conversational English. The interaction volunteers have with our students makes a huge impact on their development. Special skills, eg art, music, sport, IT etc are always an advantage. Volunteers in the areas of admin, community welfare and maintenance are also welcome. Groups and families will be considered.
Length of stay
We would prefer volunteers to stay for a period of 1 month, however we will consider a 1 week stay as a minimum. Longer stays will also be considered. Please contact us for availability with details of your preferred duration of stay.
Placement Donations
KNGO receives NO government funding and relies on donations and other fundraising activities to provide a sustainable program in the local community.
Volunteer donations help to sustain our free educational program for poor students in the rural area of Odambang 1 Commune. A donation of US$100 will support a student in our education program for 1 year. Without access to this free supplementary education, many poor students will drop out of the education system altogether as they struggle to receive adequate tuition.
Many volunteers choose to fundraise prior to leaving their home country. If we can help in any way, please let us know. We would be happy to provide brochures and whatever else we can do to assist.

- Transported from your accommodation to the KNGO school on the first day
- Provided with a tour (bicycle, moto or tuk tuk) of the KNGO community programs
Required Documents:

- Medical Insurance Cover (proof of cover required)
- Police Background Check (certificate required) or Blue Card
